RC Phoenix  newly redesigned

Now with a realistic, tail-tilt steering mechanism. This is the electric-powered version of the Phoenix ornithopter kit. (Phoenix is also available with rubber band power.) Easy to build. Includes powerful electric motor and custom-made, pre-assembled gearbox.

For RC flying, you will need the Plantraco RC system sold below. The system includes transmitter/charger, Plug-n-Play receiver, 1.1 gram actuator, and 90 mAh lithium-polymer battery.

RC Phoenix weighs 15 grams (1/2 ounce) and has a 16 inch (40 cm) wingspan. It can be flown in a gymnasium or outdoors in good weather. White tissue wings can be decorated with permanent marker or inkjet.
